Telenovela Felina

There has been some serious drama among the felines of our family this week. Their tails spin like that of a Telenovela!

For starters, my mom discovered a secret about her beloved cat, Bonita. One would never guess by looking at that pretty little thing that she could ever turn on my mom, alas. 

La Imperdonable!

 The other day my mom went over to visit with the neighbors who asked her if she would like a kitten. Their cat, Yvonne had just had kittens a few weeks ago. My mom loves little rambunctious kittens so went to have a look at the litter. Low and behold who would look back at her? Bonita! Que sorpresa! Apparently, Bonita is also known as Yvonne. She has been enjoying having two mistresses feed her, pet her and cuddle her. She took one look at my mom and escaped knowing that she had been caught! My mom was hurt for about a minute till she thought of the bullet she dodged by not having to help deliver feline babies.

On the home front (thanks to my brother) Bentley has been hooked on Cat Hospital:

He had been watching Cat Hospital, thinking of his new Southern Bell lady-friend: SueAnn. She is a purr-ty, stylish, well-mannered pud. Each afternoon she licks her whiskers and gets gussied up to take a little stroll down her covered porch and on over to our back deck. She is a flirt and loves batting her eyelashes shamelessly at Bentely. Poor cat, he doesn't know if to respond in Italian or English. 

"Hey there, Cupcake. I bet I could make your day better" purrs SueAnn.
 Bentley stutters a nervous response, "Ciao Amore Mio."

The problem is, she discovered there was another cat in the house. A handsome hairball he is too. He is built like a furry rhino and watching him barrel down running to his foodbowl like a rugby player got Miss SueAnn interested. What strength! What agility! She waited till Bentley was deep in sleep and pawed at the window to say "Hey there, Muffin...." to Fatty.

"Hey there, Muffin. How about you join me for some buttered biscuits?" Well, food is the way to Fatty's heart!

 Ohhhhh boy! Bentely woke up and saw the love in action.

He couldn't take the rejection, turned his back on them both and heart-brokenly howled,

 "It must have been love, But it's over now.

It must have been good but  I lost it somehow. From the time we purred till the time had run out."
