6 Mary Magdalene: "Whom are you seeking?"

St. Mary Magdalene, pray for us!

Reflection, Novena day 6: from John 20:14, "Jesus said to her, 'Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?' Supposing him to be the gardener, she said to him, "Sir, if you have carried Him away tell me where you have laid him, and I will take Him away." Here, Mary Magdalene is asked whom she is seeking through her tears. Today I want to pray for teenagers facing addictions: whom are they seeking? May Mary Magdalene, saint for converts to Christianity, intercede for teens seeking answers in places that will only give them twisted paths and lead them to dangerous habits.

Day Six: "Woman, whom are you seeking?"

In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
St Mary Magdalene, intercede for us.

Lord have mercy,
Christ have mercy,
Lord have mercy,
Christ hear us,
Christ graciously hear us,.

God the Father of heaven,
Have mercy on us.
God the Son, Redeemer of the World,
Have mercy on us.
God the Holy Spirit, Holy Trinity one God,
Have mercy on us.

Mary of Magdalene, you who converted from terrible habits, I pray for teenagers to answer the question of Christ on who they are seeking. Please intercede for all teenagers and their parents and guardians to live holy lives. I pray especially for you to intercede for any teenagers with addictions to their cell phone, social media, self-mutilation, comparison and drugs. You couldn't recognize Jesus at the tomb because you didn't know what you were seeking. You were seeking the dead not the living. I pray for all teens to seek the life that God has planned for them, and not death to their full potential through addictions and harmful habits.

Hail Mary full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art though among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory for ever.

All glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be a world without end. Amen.
