5 Mary Magdalene: She did not realize that it was Jesus

St Mary Magdalene, Pray for us!

Mary Magdalene first didn't recognize angels, nor realize why the tomb was empty. As Jesus approaches her she can't even recognize it is Him. How many times during the day do we not see Jesus reflection in the people we see in person, online, on our phones. I would like to pray today for all young children living in foster care and orphanages around the world. I pray for their caregivers to see the image of Jesus in each child and to care for each child as if they were caring for Jesus. I pray for strength and resilience for caregivers with the added stress and pressures from the coronavirus and limited funds.

Day Five:  "At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize it was Jesus."

In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
St Mary Magdalene, intercede for us.

Lord have mercy,
Christ have mercy,
Lord have mercy,
Christ hear us,
Christ graciously hear us,.

God the Father of heaven,
Have mercy on us.
God the Son, Redeemer of the World,
Have mercy on us.
God the Holy Spirit, Holy Trinity one God,
Have mercy on us.

Mary of Magdalene, saint of those who convert to a life of faith, you were still sorrowful and couldn't recognize your Lord. I pray for those young children who are in foster homes and orphanages around the world. I pray for those caregivers of the children who don't know what to expect and for the children who might  have experienced fear in their lives and disappointment of the biological parents they care from. Guide us all through your story of redemption from a life of destitution to the hope of the resurrection. Intercede for all orphans, children without their parents and their caregivers.

Hail Mary full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art though among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory for ever.

All glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be a world without end. Amen.
