May for Mary: Santa Dei Genetrix

May is the month of the Queen. The woman who is loved by the sky, rivers and all the birds. The lovely pure Mother that treads on bells from heaven. The mother who loves us all, her dear children.

Mother of Angels, all the rose buds and the rosettes are for you to fill your hands and encircle your feet. Things can be taken away from us, our so called comforts and routines, but without you we loose our favorite rose. Never be far from us, sweet gentle Mother.

Sub tuum praesidium

Sub tuum praesidium confugimus,
Santa Dei Genetrix.
Nostras deprecationes ne despicias
in necessitatibus nostris,
sed a periculis cunctis
libera nos sempre,
Virgo gloriosa e benedicta.

We fly to thy protection,
O Holy Mother of God,
Despise not our petitions,
in our necessities,
but deliver us always from all dangers,
O glorious and blessed Virgin Mary.
