Happy Valentine's Day!

What better way to warm up in the middle of frigid winter than with a dose of heart-thumping red love?

Most people might say "bah-humbag" to Valentine's day  but around here there are two old cats who love Valentine's Day.

Fatty and Bentley have both had their share of loves, mostly inaccessible ones seeing that the boys live like cloistered monks.
A life of contemplation.

However, they have grown to love each other as best friends, 7PM enemies and coaches. Bentley is a sweet heart and knows how to  make everyone feel better when they are down.

He has twice sat on Fatty to keep him warm when he was sick and cold then pushed food towards him when he wouldn't eat.

And Fatty has done nice things for Bentley too such as, hm, eating his food? No. That wasn't it.

Smacking water on him? No.

..Kicking him off the soft bed?
Fatty at his finest

Well, I'm sure there is something Fatty has done for his brother. It just might take me a while to think of it.

Here are the cats tips for enjoying your Valentine's Day with or without a Love:

1. Get yourself some flowers and either eat them, rip them up or fall asleep looking at them while you reflect on your greatest love. Fatty prefers eating giant pink roses. Bentley prefers gently smacking any type of rose as he contemplates his long lost love.

2. Prune yourself, splash on some perfume then cuddle up for a nice nap.

3. Eat something you really shouldn't. Extra chocolate? Go for it. Five breakfasts? Why not. Your thighs don't count calories on your birthday, when no one is looking or when you are as hungry as a rhino, which for Fatty is most of the time.
All trimmed and handsome with a full belly.

4. Bentley's advice: Send good vibes towards someone you love. How? Well, he suggests sitting next to them and purring really strong. Other viable options are writing them an old fashioned letter cheering them on in life (life is tough for all cats, each one eventually gets to hack a hairball or get squashed under someones feet unexpectedly).

5. Listen to some good Valentine's music. The cats both love music and Bentley will sit on the speakers when they are on.

The cats suggest melodies rather than love songs. They have really enjoy the soundtrack from "UP" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjAWAUc_33k
