Mexico: Food, Colors and Music
I love Mexico. I was only there a few days, but long enough to know as I arrived that I would miss it when I left.
I love the Aztec roots deep in a mysterious culture. Walking down the Zocalo in the heart of the historic district you can see the Templo Mayor hiding in ruins beside the National Cathedral. It is as if the Conquistadors tried to dismantle the culture, religion and people but couldn't keep them down. Likewise, you see elements of the native life in the Tianguis, the Aztec Nahuatl word for market.
Dancing in the street.
At the airport I resisted the urge to buy souvenirs so took pictures of them.

The food, colors and music are all one in Mexico. You see bright colors almost everywhere your eyes turn, the food is baking and frying and crackling out of brightly painted kitchens and restaurants and music pours out of buses and is played in plazas on street corners.
